Year 4
Year 4 is an exciting year group to be in, with lots of new things for the children to experience.
Throughout the year the children learn about a variety of exciting and engaging topics such as the Romans, the Mayans, the history of Bradford and South America. To bring these topics to life and provide a context for the children, we visit Saltaire, the Industrial museum in Bradford and also have exciting visits from external companies.
The children love learning the keyboard weekly with a visit from a specialist teacher and by the end of the year they are able to confidently perform, demonstrating their amazing skills!
One of the most special and unique opportunities in Year 4 is working towards the Archbishop of York Youth Trust Award. The award aims to inspire each child to 'be the change you want to see' and make a positive impact on our local, national and global communities.
