Year 3
Year 3 marks the end of Key Stage 1 and the beginning of Key Stage 2. The graduation into Key Stage 2 comes with more independence and responsibility and some changes in routines, for example, once in Year 3 our pupils are divided into house groups and are able to earn house points each week and during inter-house competitions throughout the school year. Being part of Key Stage 2 also means the opportunity to use home learning websites such as Mathletics and Times Table Rockstars!
We have many exciting topics in Year 3 including; the USA, the Stone Age and Egyptians. We also learn about the skeleton, muscles, rocks, plants and forces. Our computing lessons see us begin to communicate safely with others through email and learn coding.
